Technical architecture

One assurance decision across changing AI systems.

This website illustrates the target governance flow from versioned state to an explainable decision. Estate-wide intelligence and ecosystem integrations are design objectives, not proven live connections.

An integration does not automatically confer write access or approval authority. Available data depends on vendor APIs, tenant permissions and the connector's verified scope.

Steerlane reasoning and decision path

  1. 01

    Canonical system state

Represent the system and its approved reference; five-state reconciliation is a target architecture.

  2. 02

    Semantic change

Map component-level changes to impacted dependencies. Real-world implementation must be qualified in a pilot.

  3. 03

    Evidence validity

Explain which evidence remains applicable, what must be rerun and where the mapping is unknown.

  4. 04

    Governed decision

Show reviewer responsibility, approval outcome and traceable baseline/audit history.

Decision authority stays explicit

Imported metadata, automated evaluations and external review tickets inform the decision. They do not silently approve a changed AI system.

Trust principles

Boundaries a technical reviewer should challenge.

01

Source systems remain authoritative

Steerlane's integration design references source-native metadata, revisions, evaluations and approval tasks. It does not imply ownership of the source application's runtime or identity system.

02

Observed is different from declared

A deployment manifest or connector response cannot prove runtime behavior by itself. When observation is unavailable, the intended system state is not silently labeled observed.

03

Unknown dependencies stay visible

An unrecognized tool, permission or dependency must be escalated or mapped. Unknown never means unaffected.

04

Review and approval are separate

Evidence validity and evaluation outcomes inform a proposed decision. Review scope, delegated authority and the final approved state must remain auditable.

Maturity and proof boundaries

Assurance model concepts

Versioned AI state, change impact, evidence and review are intended design surfaces. Their implementation, deployment and supported release scope require customer-specific qualification.

Extended integration architecture

Multi-vendor ingestion, five-state reconciliation across an estate, cross-agent blast radius, simulation, attestations and broad connector support are design and evaluation objectives until independently qualified.
